We also want to be a bridge between foreigners and Japanese, so we would like to learn from them.<br \/>\nOno started business in October 2011. It&#8217;s still like\u00a0a tottering infant, but had an event called &#8220;ASIA Link Cafe&#8221; in November 2011, only a month after she established business. 10 company people and 10 foreign students (from China, S.Korea, Thailand and Sri Lanka) gathered at the venue in the suburb of Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>\u5c0f\u91ce\u3055\u3093\u304c\u4ee3\u8868\u3092\u52d9\u3081\u308bASIA Link\u306f\u3001\u5916\u56fd\u4eba\u7559\u5b66\u751f\u3068\u65e5\u672c\u306e\u4e2d\u5c0f\u4f01\u696d\u3068\u306e\u300c\u6a4b\u300d\u3068\u306a\u3063\u3066\u3001\u53cc\u65b9\u3092\u3064\u306a\u3052\u308b\u30de\u30c3\u30c1\u30f3\u30b0\u30d3\u30b8\u30cd\u30b9\u3092\u884c\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u3001My Eyes Tokyo\u304c\u304a\u624b\u672c\u3068\u3055\u305b\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3060\u304d\u305f\u3044\u65b9\u3067\u3059\u3002<br mind of entrepreneurs and\u00a0had a lot of discussions in the workshop about the company which they wanted to work for.<br \/>\nAfter their presentations, they had a get-together in a relaxed atmosphere. Students and company people talked with each other very closely. Maybe you wouldn&#8217;t see that closeness at usual employment-explanation meetings.<\/p>\n<p>\u7559\u5b66\u751f\u3068\u4e2d\u5c0f\u4f01\u696d\u95a2\u4fc2\u8005\u304c\u3044\u3063\u3057\u3087\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u300c\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u4f1a\u793e\u3092\u4f5c\u308b\u3068\u3057\u305f\u3089\u3001\u3069\u3093\u306a\u4f1a\u793e\u304c\u3044\u3044\uff1f\u300d\u3092\u8a71\u3057\u5408\u3044\u3001\u5168\u54e1\u306e\u524d\u3067\u30d7\u30ec\u30bc\u30f3\u3059\u308b\u30ef\u30fc\u30af\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30d7\u304c\u884c\u308f\u308c\u305f\u5f8c\u3001\u30ea\u30e9\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\u3057\u305f\u96f0\u56f2\u6c17\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u61c7\u89aa\u4f1a\u304c\u884c\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u901a\u5e38\u306e\u4f01\u696d\u8aac\u660e\u4f1a\u306b\u306f\u3042\u308a\u5f97\u306a\u3044\u3001\u5b66\u751f\u3068\u4f01\u696d\u95a2\u4fc2\u8005\u306e\u8ddd\u96e2\u306e\u8fd1\u3055\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\uff08\u4ee5\u4e0b\u3001\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u30da\u30fc\u30b8\u30c8\u30c3\u30d7\u306e\u30d7\u30ec\u30a4\u30e4\u30fc\u304b\u3089\u4eca\u591c\u306e\u653e\u9001\u3092\u304a\u8074\u304d\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\uff09<\/p>\n<p>The reason why she became a &#8220;bridge&#8221; between foreign students and small businesses is that she felt something when she was a Japanese instructor. She had taught the language to the students mainly from Asian countries for 8 years, and she learned;<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf There&#8217;s strong discrimination and prejudice against Asian students, compared to the one directed at Western students. They get questioned by the authorities because they draw suspicion as illegal residents. It&#8217;s difficult for them to rent apartments or work at fashionable shops.<br \/>\n\u25cf Students who come to Japan want to work at Japanese companies. But their job huntings go wrong because of lack of information. Unfortunately many foreign students left Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Ono couldn&#8217;t do anything for those issues because those were not her specialized fields at that time. When she felt irritated, she had a fourth baby. Even though it was hard for her to work outside the house, she wanted to continue to work. But she came up with an idea.<br \/>\n&#8220;I&#8217;ll create jobs in my neighborhood and solve the societal challenges!&#8221; Then she decided to start business and support foreign students. She rewrote her business plan over and over again and took counsel from financial organizations. Then she devised the business matching between foreign students and small companies. Her idea fitted the environment surrounding them.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Only 20% of foreign students can get jobs with companies in Japan. Because they tend to want to work at big corporations, they apply for fewer company entrance exams compared to Japanese students. Also companies are anxious about hiring foreigners.<br \/>\n\u25cf 99% of companies in Japan are small businesses that are not well-known among foreign students. And they feed their ways into overseas market.<br \/>\n\u25cf Companies&#8217; targets are Asian countries which continue the growth of their markets.<\/p>\n<p>Ono wanted to support mainly students from Asia and companies that aim at Asian countries.
