He is a member of a taiko troupe called &#8220;<a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/english.amanojaku.info\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/english.amanojaku.info\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amanojaku<\/a>&#8220;, which literally means &#8220;contrary person&#8221; or &#8220;a person who goes against the grain of society&#8221;. Amanojaku has tried to stay away from trends and pursued something deeper.<br \/>\nChris is from Denver, Colorado. He first saw taiko drumming at age 1 or 2 at a bon-odori site in Denver. Later he grabbed &#8220;bachi&#8221; (drumstick) when he was an elementary school kid and has been playing taiko since then.<br \/>\n\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab\u4eba\u306e\u548c\u592a\u9f13\u594f\u8005\u3067\u3001\u201d<a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/amanojaku.info\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/amanojaku.info\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u592a\u9f13\u96c6\u56e3 \u5929\u90aa\u9b3c\uff08\u3042\u307e\u306e\u3058\u3083\u304f\uff09<\/a>\u201d\u6240\u5c5e\u306e\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30fb\u30db\u30e9\u30f3\u30c9\u3055\u3093\u3067\u3059\u3002\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u3055\u3093\u306f\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab\u306e\u30b3\u30ed\u30e9\u30c9\u5dde\u30c7\u30f3\u30d0\u30fc\u306e\u3054\u51fa\u8eab\u3002\uff11\u6b73\u304b\uff12\u6b73\u304f\u3089\u3044\u306e\u9803\u306b\u592a\u9f13\u306b\u51fa\u4f1a\u3044\u3001\u5c0f\u5b66\u751f\u306e\u9803\u306b\u592a\u9f13\u3092\u81ea\u5206\u3067\u7fd2\u3044\u59cb\u3081\u305f\u3068\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3002\u305d\u308c\u304b\u3089\u73fe\u5728\u306b\u81f3\u308b\u307e\u3067\u6253\u3061\u7d9a\u3051\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Taiko is part of my life. Taiko is how I express myself as a human.Taiko is part of me. I like music, but taiko is something more than that.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;You don&#8217;t have to have taiko. Even if the world didn&#8217;t have taiko, the world would be fine and no one would die. But something which is unique to human beings is ability to express ourselves. I have the opportunity to express my own humanity, express my own human experience.
