\nMohamed Bashir, the visually-impaired from Sudan. He lost a vision at age 11 and was invited to Japan by the International Association For The Visually Impaired in 2000. He’s been in a foreign country where his language doesn’t get through, so you may think that he’s lived a painful life.
\nHowever Bashir says, “Japan is a visually-impaired-friendly country. Sometime I feel people are more than kind to us.” Because Braille blocks are installed everywhere, schools for the visually impaired are everywhere, jobs for them are secured, trains and buses tell them the next stop through the announcement over their public address system, clerks take them to display shelves when they want to buy something… Japan is really comfortable for them, he said.
\nJapan may be a livable country for the disabled. I thought that Bashir puts on his bright smile because he lives in such a comfortable environment.<\/p>\n
